The Exodus

Psalm 95

Psalm 95 speaks of the exodus of God's people from Egypt and their journey to the land of Canaan. That period of history is at the core of Hebrew national identity because it was their journey to the Promised Land. The events of the Exodus offer insight into our own present situation. The Hebrew pilgrims on their travels to the Promised Land are a picture of believers who have been saved by the blood of the Lamb and are now on their journey through the wilderness of this world to the Promised Land of Heaven (11:13; 1 Pet. 2:11).
