To Die Is Gain

Philippians 1:21

The apostle Paul considered the advantages of both life and death:

If he remains here, he has a temporary residence, like a tent dweller.

If he departs to be with the Lord, he will have a permanent home.

If he remains here, he experiences suffering mixed with joy.

If he goes to be with the Lord, he experiences joy unmixed by suffering.

If he stays here, he experiences suffering for a time.

If he goes to be with Christ, he experiences joy forever.

If he stays here, he is absent from the Lord.

If he goes home, he is with the Lord.

If he stays here, he has to stay in the fight.

If he goes home, he's seated at the feast.

If he stays here, he lives in the realm of sin.

If he goes to be with Christ, he lives in the realm of complete deliverance from sin and absolute positive holiness.
